sign: FROG Hopkins

Like we mentioned last week, Lil's first birthday party was March 10th. We used Hopkins (the Signing Time frog) and her bed linens with baby animals as the theme. 


Lil's cake toppers had Hopkins on it. So Cute! She really enjoyed her first ice cream cake and regular cake experience. Hopkins was also on her banners that Sherri's Hobby Shop made for us!

She doesn't have any favorites yet, like a blanket, toy, or stuffed animals, but she surely does enjoy watching her Signing Time DVDs so Hopkins was surely appropriate!

What animals do your children like? Perhaps they will be featured in the upcoming weeks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (sign)

I have to dedicate this post to Little Fingers, a.k.a. Lil - she's turning the big one tomorrow and I just can't believe it!

We'll have tons of pictures to show next week of the great event but we're both just so happy and proud of her. At one, she's:

•  walking 4 steps
• babbling like it's no one's business
• imitating anything and everything we do
• crawling faster than we can catch her
• playing with the dog like he's her best friend (and he's actually ok with it!)
• eating so many great home-made foods
• loving her real milk and not minding being off the formula
• doing ok with her mouth full of teeth!
• standing and squatting like she's at the gym!
• sleeping through the night
• loving her walks and car rides (that is her toy car, not mommy's car - not that she hates it but put it this way, there's no longs trips!)

She's just all grown up! Happy Birthday Lil!

We're very EXCITED for Little Fingers' first birthday coming up. We might even post a picture of her directly facing the camera! 


As much as we're keeping it low key, we're still really enjoying planning the small event here at our house. Families are coming from out of town (and state). We had Sherri's Hobby Shop make the banners with the animals from her room decor and little Hopkins from Baby Signing Time, Adia's Photography take her picture, and Holiday Ice Cream (local ice cream shop) make her ice cream cake... it'll be her first time having ice cream! We're so very EXCITED!


I think the next several signs will be themed around our excitement, the party planning, and how the event all went down!
