some B words Ms Little Finger says/signs for B week!

I was looking back at some B signs that Ms Little Fingers says and / or signs.

1. BABY - this was a quick given. She love loves her BABY Signing Time videos so much that BABY was an early on sign (and word). Our former post on BABY

           2. BALL - she is also able to say and sign. She loves her BALL play! Problem is ... so does the dog so we have to be very careful he shares nice! Our former post on BALL

3. BANANA - another sign/word she has. She loves her BANANAS! It's not often she says "BA-NA-NA" but she can surely sign it and say "nana!". Good enough for me! Check out our first post on BANANA.

So as mentioned before, we're going through major language explosion in our home with our 16 month old. Another new word is BALL. I was thinking of creating a list because I don't want to miss a moment of all these great times, each day with these new words. She recognizes them any time, any place. While we're walking she sees a BALL, she signs/says BALL?! I say 'yes yes BALL'. It's great!


I haven't been blogging as much making sure I spend this time with her realizing that each day and new experience truly needs to be cherrished. I'm off more in the summer than fall/winter/spring so I'm spending that time with Ms Little Fingers and her BALLS. We're hoping to even hit the beach for the first time soon. That would surely have tons of signs to come with that trip!

BLOCKS is a great one because you can talk about colors. (Here's some colors we've done thus far:)
- PINK
- GREEN

BLOCKS are great because you can talk about ON top, fall down, and build UP. My little fingers is just starting to play with BLOCKS, knock them down and build them UP - so cute.

There are variations to this sign. I am looking for the other variations to show you
but I might have to take pictures. Sometimes the sign BOX or BRICKS are used for BLOCKS.
Times like this it's important to remember, ASL isn't English-based and there isn't a word-to-word correlation.
We'll talk more about that another time ;)
