PLANNING the party

Well we've got quick a bit of PLANNING to do, cleaning, what-have-you before Saturday morning. I had the genuise idea to have the party between her naps so she could actually enjoy the party versus her Christianing party she slept the whole time. So .. that means it's an early party!

I'm still ordering cakes and trying to figure out what I have to get from the grocery store, strategically PLANNING the seating in the family room (a.k.a. basement, a.k.a. 'man cave'). Lots to do and not much time.

I'm still PLANNING T- minus 3 days (less than 72 hours!)

READ special late night post "World Read Aloud Day!"

Today I learned from Amy @ Teach Mama that today was World Read Aloud Day! March 7th! Who would have known!? (I need daily email updates on this stuff!)

So I wanted to share her post because I feel reading is so crucial for our children's development, language growth, social skills, cognitive development .. I just love reading (and I'm not a reading specialist like Amy) Please take a minute to read this: http://teachmama.com/2012/03/10-tips-for-read-aloud-learning.html
She discusses 10 tips to read aloud learning! She mentions sign language!!

We've had reading and book posts previously.

What's the Sign Wednesday?!

It's Wednesday!

What sign are you looking for today? Leave us a comment here or on our Facebook wall.

We already have today's sign: HOMEWORK, but help us pick next week's sign and perhaps you may be featured next week!

Now go do Your HOMEWORK and think of what sign you are looking for!

sign: HOMEWORK for "What's the Sign Wednesday"

Today's "What's the Sign Wednesday" is brought to us by a request last week on Facebook for HOMEWORK.  HOMEWORK is obviously used for parents and children - 'do your HOMEWORK!' and 'Is your HOMEWORK done?!'

HOMEWORK is simply putting HOME and WORK together.

Please note, the sign HOME does not occur at the mouth as this sign may look like - rather it's right next to the mouth on the cheek and goes up towards the ear.
If these clip art photos are not clear, please let me know and I can do them myself.
